2007-04-24 [Paul Doyle]: As a US Navy kid, I lived in Chula Vista from 1973-78 and 1980-82. Good times, great memories . . . and now it's far too expensive for me to relocate there, though New England's cost of living is nearly as bad.

i am familiar with marine/navy living, i was a marine brat and a navy wife... at camp pen...lol

2007-10-24 [Paul Doyle]: Updated one final time. Real life circumstances kept me away from ET (and pretty much everywhere else online) and there was nothing I could do. Out of fairness, I have removed the deadline until I know for certain I will have the time to resolve this. Also (and this is a BIG factor) the turnout for this contest has been a tremendous disappointment, in the other categories which people had indicated interest (through the wiki-poll on warmer weather contest). Anyway, stay tuned to the main page. The deadline will be before the end of the year, now that I'm finally starting to get caught up after having been away from ET for a few months (but still have limited time, due to very busy real life!). Please have patience, and I thank you for hanging in there :)
